Getting to Trail End for dinner.

Silly question, basically how do we get to Trails End? Do we park at Wilderness Lodge or is there parking by the restaurant, it is hard to tell from the maps I have seen. Just trying to plan on timing. TIA!

There is no parking at Trail's End. Park in the parking lot of Fort Wilderness, at the entrance, and then take an internal bus to the Settlement area where Trail's End is. All of the internal bus routes go to the Settlement.

There is a walking path between WL and FW. It's about a 15 minute walk, but I'm not sure if it is well lit at night. You can ask in the camping forum. Here are some photos of the path.

You can also get the boat from MK. It drops you off just down the path from Trail's End.

Yes, Hoop is right next to Trails End.

Sorry to high-jack the thread, but if taking the boat from MK to Hoop-De-Doo how much time should I allow for that travel?

I would allow at least 60 minutes to be on the safe side. The boat ride in only about 15 minutes, but if you just missed a boat, you might have to wait.

The boats on Bay Lake: At least 2 are usually operating, each opposite to the other. I've never waited more than about 10 minutes for a boat, then 20 minutes if you get the longer side of the triangle or 10 minutes for the shorter side. 60 minutes is certainly safe but I find 40 minutes to be quite safe also.

There are several routes on Bay Lake. Usually there are boats shuttling directly between MK and WL, directly between MK and FW, and boats that run a triangular route CR to WL to FW to CR, etc. (often two of these, doing the triangle in opposite directions).
