Hey everyone,

I had a question about getting to the Disneyland Paris area. I will be flying into CDG, then staying in the city center for a week, with a quick jaunt to London.

At the end of my time in Paris, I will need to get to the Disneyland area but I'm not sure the best way. From where my hotel in the city is located, I would have to take the metro several stations down to get to the RER line.

I have read that it's not really practical to bring large suitcases on the metro, so what do you folks recommend?

It will just be two adults, likely with two full size suitcases.

Travelling with suitcases on the metro is always a bit of hassle, wether it's in Paris, London or New York. But if you're not travelling during busy morning or evening commute hours, it's always doable. The worst obstacle might be the stairs.

We have used the RER with many pieces of baggages with no specific problems (apart from those you usually have when traveling with many pieces of baggages).

One thing worth noting is that there are elevators in most stations, for disabled accessibility, including stations within Paris and Marne-la-Vallée (near DLP).

As far as the metro is concerned, there is quite to none elevators, however most stations are usually just a few steps down the road (most of the lines are running just below car lanes). My tip would be to consider taking a bus: the bus system in Paris is fantastic, and connects most part of the town with other transportations stations very well.

We recently did DLP from Paris on the Metro & RER (as well as CDG to/from Paris) with luggage and had no problems. Avoid the busiest times & take cars at the back of the trains.
