Getting to the outlet mall with a baby

I was looking into going to the outlet mall for a day during our disney trip.
It is my DH, DD (21 months) and myself. Might be nice to get away from the crowds for a day. Coming from Canada- shopping in American outlets is a treat.

Reading the past posts we can take a taxi, rent a car or take two busses.

I dont think the taxi is too bad price wise but dont want to take DD on the highway without a car seat.
Can taxis have carseats if you book in advance?
Can we rent a car for the day and rent a car seat?
How hard is it to take a buses from downtown disney?

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure about taking Lynx, the bus there. You can request a cab with a carseat, and you can rent a car with one.

I'm not sure where you are staying but you can take a resort bus to the Car Car Center, or go to the swan and dolphin the have a rental desk there.

Obvious the bus is cheaper but I would find a good deal on a rental over the taxis.

Thank you!
Solved my problem :cool1:

Apparently so. I've never needed to but I have seen this posted many times.

Not sure which mall you are going to, but Premium is very close and I don't think you even go on the higways (I'm thinking 400 series). We have taken a cab from DTD and they have let DD sit by herself or on my lap when she was younger. Not sure which part of Canada you are in, but they let us do the same thing in Toronto, so please don't flame me. And no, I don't take the cab everywhere, just one day in Orlando, once a year.

Are you really going to save so much money on your purchases by taking $60 worth of taxis? ($25-$30 one way) I love shopping as much as the next gal, but I would need to know that there is a certain something that I needed to invest that much in transportation.

Depending on which way you leave WDW you could take Interstate 4 to the Premium Outlet and get off at exit 68. You are also correct that you can go there without taking the Interstate 4 and that's going through Downtown Disney and then turning onto Lake Buena Vista/535.

FYI: It is against the law for children 3 and under to travel in a car/van without a car seat in FL.
