Getting to the care care center

Howdy..

Looking for some advice.

on my last day I am at HS and I need to get to the car care center to pick up my rental. i set it up for 4pm. I’ll be at Hollywood studios. After my HS day is over I’m driving to St. Petersburg so I am not staying that night at the resort.

right now I am booked at pop century. Although I am debating switching to movies to save about $100. It’s a solo trip for just a few days so the $100 could go towards Quite a bit being solo.

anyway I’m at pop because then I could take skyliner back to pop to catch the complimentary shuttle to car care center, get rental- park at pop and then skyliner back to HS. This makes getting my luggage the end of the day easy too.

if I switch to movies I’m worried getting my car is gonna take forever.. I either have to get back to movies via bus, then take shuttle to car care, then drive either back to movies or back to HS.. but I’ll need to get back to movies regardless for my luggage.

would you switch? Is there an easier way to get to the car care center from HS than the resort shuttle? Maybe just an Uber?

I’m trying to minimize time lost in the park. I can’t change my scheduled pick up time. I booked my rental when prices were still reasonable and to change my pick up time triples the price.

No, I wouldn't worry about it. Whichever resort you are staying at the incremental time difference is minimal.

could you change which resort you get picked up at? Changing to CBR or Boardwalk to pick it up might save a little bit.

Years ago, you could request the shuttle to pick up at the parks. You should call them and ask if this is still an option.

If you want to minimize "away from park time", I would check and see if the shuttle can pick you up from the park, and failing that, use Uber/Lyft to go from HS to CCC.

If money is an issue, unless you're doing rope drop, shuttle from whatever resort you're staying at in the morning to CCC, get your car, then go to the park. Free parking at the park since you're staying at the resort, right?
