Getting to Seaworld

We were thinking about hitting Seaworld while we are at Disney in April. Has anyone used Orlando's public transportation to do this? We always rely on Disney trasportation to get to the parks and never rent a car. I think I read somewhere you can catch a bus from TTC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

The Lynx bus system is great. Catch the bus in the parking lot behind Pleasure Island's Cirque du Solei (sp?). Check their website for times, locations, etc. We were apprehensive when the parking lot was totally empty when we got there, but the bus arrived exactly when they said it would, dropped us off at Sea World, and was there at night right on time to pick us up. We were dropped off at Downtown Disney. Cost was 50 cents each way per person. Much cheaper than renting a taxi.

Funny that this is in budget section imo. Sea World and budget just don't mix. Getting through the doors will cost a family of 4 350 bones!

depends on what tickets you get. You can do it much cheaper

yeah, but sea world gives you a second day free, at the main park or aquatica. Can't beat 2 days for 80$ a person.

lynx bus is 2$ per adult, and up to three children can ride free with each paying adult. Seniors and kids riding alone are 1$ each.

You can pick up the bus at the TTC or DTD tranfer station. It's route 50. Check golynx.com for times. But the route start early in the morning and end at like 11pm, picking up every half hour. And there is a sea world shuttle to get to aquatica that runs about every ten mins.

For just a little more ($99 per) you can get unlimited admission to Sw and Aquatica for 14 days.

Generally there's several ways to knock 10$ off the gate price. Like through southwest, advanced online purchase, seasonal deals that usually allow buy an adult ticket at a child's price.

A day at Disney is expensive too. Would it be any different if they were doing a sea world vacation with a day at Disney?

ahh, it's the old, you gotta spend a little but you will save.

What tickets would you get that makes going to seaworld much cheaper?

I am getting the $142 tickets that will get me into sea world, aquatica, sesame place, bush gardens and the other 4 properties unlimited for the rest of 2010.

Well you do have to be close to one of the other world of discovery parks in order to get that deal. But heck, if you're there, it's well worth it.

And not every one wants to be immersed in Disney 24/7... the other parks have their own special flare to add. If they didn't do you think they'd still be up and running these days?
