When I planned all of our ADRs, we were going to be driving to WDW. Now we are flying (couldn't pass up SW Ding rates!). What is the quickest way to get to the following restaurants from CSR using Dis transportation?

  • Chef Mickey's
  • O'hana
  • Whispering Canyon
  • Spoodles

It depends on where you are staying or what park you will be visiting before you eat at the restaurants. You can get to Chef Mickey's (@ Contemporary) and Ohana's (@ Polynesian) by monorail--if you are at MK or Epcot, or take buses if you are at MGM or AK. Spoodles is at the Boardwalk, so if you are at Epcot, you can take the International Gateway and walk to the Boardwalk or take a bus from any other park. Whispering Canyon Cafe can be gotten to by boat if your at the Magic Kingdom, by bus if your at any other parks. Also, if you are at another resort prior to eating, you can always take a bus/monorail to the TTC and catch a bus/monorail from there. Hope this helps.

Chef Mickey's: Bus to Magic Kingdom, then walk, monorail or ferry to Contemporary
'Ohana: Bus to Magic Kingdom, then monorail to Polynesian or ferry if one is docked or approaching (strong likelihood, and easy since you walk right past the docks to get to the monorail)
WCC: Bus to Magic Kingdom, then bus or ferry to Wilderness Lodge (or walk to Contemporary and catch ferry there)
Spoodles: Bus to any park, then bus to Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Clubs; or bus to MGM and walk or ferry to Spoodles; or best way as somebody already pointed out: through Epcot's International Gateway

Chef Mickey's--- take the bus to Magic Kingdom and walk or take the monorail depending on weather--- the Contemporary is the 1st stop
O'hana-- take the bus to Magic Kingdom and take the boat launch.. if you have to due to weather, you can take the monorail... it will be the 3rd stop
Whispering Canyon-- take the bus to Magic Kingdom and take the boat launch weather permitting, or just transfer busses to the Wilderness Lodge
Spoodles--- take the bus to Disney MGM and take the boat launch or bus to the Boardwalk.

Allow about 1 to 1 1/2 hour to accomplish this.

Order a cab from your hotel to your location - spend some extra money ans save a HUGE amount of time!!!

OK, there is the best way and there is the fun way.

Chef Mickey's - I would go to MK and then travel over by monorail.

O'Hana - same thing.

Whispering Canyon - From MK we take the boat over.

Spoodles - We take the bus to MGM and then to boat to the Boardwalk.

Also if a DTD bus comes along grab it & transfer there to the resort where your ADR is. Or the first park bus that comes along & again transfer th the resort bus that you need.

Could you post the times your ADRs are for? The time MAY determine what is the best way, especially if you have an early morning or late evening ADR.

For example, if you have an early ADR for CM, tell the bus driver this and he MAY be able to drop you off right at the CR.

Chef Mickey's: Bus to Magic Kingdom, then walk, monorail or ferry to Contemporary
There is no boat to the CR from MK.

All our ADRs are for dinner-btwn 5:00 & 7:00 p.m. The ourlaughingplace cite said to take a bus to Blizzard Beach and then to the different hotels from there. However, when we stayed at AKL a couple years ago, the bus to/from Blizzard Beach made another stop somewhere. Any thoughts on whether that would be a good route?

Well, since BB closes at 5, going there wouldn't work.

Use either MGM or MK as your transfer point. Definitely use MGM for Spoodles

Try one of these two sites for transportation info:

:)

These sites are AMAZING!!!!! (our laughing place and wdw info They tell you how to get ANYWHERE on Disney property FROM anywhere!!!!! :cheer2:

I'm now thinking of changing 2 of our ADRs located at the other resorts in order to cut down on travel time. I might add an ADR at Maya Grill (we are staying at CSR) and a DD restaurant (Cap'n Jacks or Puck's)??.

Which should I cut out? I'm thinking WCC and Spoodles. I thought the kids would have fun at O'hana (and we want to see the electrical parade). I've also heard that WCC is fun for the kids (DDs 3 & 7) though.

Yes, they are good, but they are outdated. They indicate routes that no longer exist.

Example,
There no longer is bus service between DTD and TTC
The are NO busses from ANY of the monorail resorts to Epcot
