You should be able to catch the monorail. Last summer, we did the same thing, but were traveling from the Beach Club and took the boat from MK to Poly.

When I went in November, I had a 7:30am ADR for Kona and the day I was going (Tuesday), the resort monorails weren't running until 8:30am, so I took a quick cab from POR. It was about $12 including tip and they are always waiting out front so I didn't have to wait for one. When I went the monorail didn't start running until 8:30 on Mon, Tues and Fridays. I think it is Mondays and Tuesdays now, so depending on the day of the week your adr is you might be okay.

The buses start running at 6:30am for those with early adrs. I have been the only one at the bus stop that early to go to the Poly and the driver took me straight there instead of dropping me off at MK first, which was great and a big time saver.

Be aware that Disney recommends you allow 90 minutes to make it to your ADR using their transportation. Usually over-kill, but not always. You may just miss a bus and have a wait for the next one. You may then have another wait for your next bus/boat/monorail.

I now budget taxi money into my trips. For an 8 am ADR we can leave at 725 or so. Plus there is no stress about waiting for the bus or making the transportation connections.

You can walk from the MK. Much easier than taking the monorail, and a pretty view of the Poly grounds. The walk from MK to Poly GCH is about 5 minutes. Super simple.

You can't walk from MK. You can walk from TTC but you would have to take the boat or monorail from MK to TTC. The walk from the TTC is pretty and 5 minutes but you still have the problem of getting there.

With how unreliable Disney transport can be in the morning, I used an Uber to get from All Star Sports to the Poly for an early reservation and it worked out nicely. It is cheaper than a taxi, costing only about $7 and was worth it knowing I would be on time and not have to worry about Disney bus and monorail schedules.

I meant from where the bus drops you off (TTC) for the MK. Obviously no vehicle goes to the MK. The bus will drop them off on the right side of the TTC and they can walk to the Poly. Did this a million times already. I stay on the monorail loop often and just as often, the monorails are not operating on time / repair for maintenance / stop working etc. Rather than waste time waiting to see if they will eventually work, we walk.

The OP stated MK, but I'm sure they meant TTC as the MK will not be open at that time.

Sorry, but your information is incorrect. All Disney resort buses drop off at the MK bus depot not TTC. Even if MK is not open buses will be running for those early morning ADRs.

?? I have never once seen a vehicle at the MK. I cant even picture where they would go? When exiting, you have your choice of monorail - express or resort, or ferry - TTC or resort. Where are the buses ? Granted I stay to the right for the monorails, but I have taken the Ft Wilderness ferry, which is kind of in the middle and both left and right is water. Is there a secret bus exist I never noticed in 25+ trips? I'm now going to have to look at a map :) This is quite surprising!

The MK bus depot is just to the left (as you are exiting) of the Ferry entrance on the side of the Contemporary. This is where all resort buses drop guests off. I am trying to locate a picture to upload. Where is Robo with a map? I can't find one to upload here, but check images on goggle for "Magic Kingdom Bus Depot" and you should be able to find a map.

I found one. SO strange. Never ever ever noticed this. Ive even stayed at the Contemporary a few times. But again, I take the monorail. Maybe if I walked, I would have noticed. So strange.

That's it. I was trying to download that one but couldn't get it to work. Yeah, the monorail goes right by the bus depot when leaving the MK.

I may have notice buses while looking out the monorail window, but never put 2 and 2 together. Ive walked plenty from the Poly to the TTC and caught the bus to Epcot, or express monorail to MK. If I'm not staying on the monorail loop, I rent a car. Maybe that is an option for the OP. Car rentals in Orlando are pretty inexpensive. Ive used Name your Own Price a bunch of times and got really great deals. Hotwire is good too.
