Getting to MK before park open transportation question

I finally got my DH to agree to Crystal Palace before the park opens, specifically an 8:25 ADR. So excited to see the park pretty empty!

So I was reading a book about disney touring plans from 2003 and it said that busses from resorts will drop you off at the TTC and you have to take the monorail or boat over not the regular spot before Park open if you are arriving an hour before the park opens.

I had figured we would be at the stop at 7:15 or so, get there around 8 and wander Main street for 20 minutes.

Iss that still the case that the busses will take us to TTC? Will we have time to make the reservation?

Thanks for any help!

The bus will take you to the regular MK bus area ... you won't be dropped off at the TTC. Not just theory ... I speak from experience.

Cool! Note to self, if the book mentions going to the Timekeeper, it is probably too old to be reliable anymore!

You're going to be out of luck with boats as the ferry boats don't start running until 0845

Where will you be staying? How you get to your ADR depends somewhat one that. The resort monorail starts running at 7am, so if you are at CR, Poly or GF that is your best bet. If you are at WL or FW you can catch a boat to CR, again starting as early as 7am. Most other resorts have a bus that runs early for character breakfasts, check at the front desk or concierge desk for the time that bus should come by your resort. Of course a taxi is also a choice.

If you are driving (e.g. from off site) you would park at MK (TTC) as usual and take the resort monorail rather than the ferry. Off site shuttles and taxis also drop MK guests at TTC.

Sometimes (particularly on early magic hour mornings) the first express monorail and the first ferry arrive at MK no sooner than 15 minutes before published park opening, typically 8:45).

If your ADR is on a day when the Magic Kingdom is having AM EMH and if you are staying offsite go to the Resort Monorail station at the TTC be prepared to show your ADR confirmation number for the Crystal Palace, since the Express Monorail and boat to the Magic Kingdom won't start until 9:00 AM. I guess in the past some offsite guests have tried to sneak on the Resort Monorail during AM EMH, however with your confirmation number you have nothing to worry about.

However if your staying onsite you can take the bus right to the front of the Magic Kingdom bus area like CleveRocks said, so it would not matter if your ADR was happening on AM EMH, because the Magic Kingdom would open at 8:00 AM and your ADR happens to be at 8:25 AM.
