i am wondering how I can get to this when I can not walk much. If we are at MK can I take a boat with the scooter? If we go from resort I know we will have to change buses and wonder how close bus drops you off. Last time we went I was more mobile and was able to walk to boat from MK but I know I can not walk from boat to resort buses now so not sure whether I should try to do this or not. Anyone else have any experience with this?

most times you can take the boat from MK the only time I had a problem water level in the lake was too low so the boat did not line up with the dock for scooters/wheelchairs. you could also take a bus from resort to another park but MK and then take FW bus and change to the internal bus to get HDDR. you are going to need the scooter and you should be able to bring it either way you decide to get there. also remember that last I knew you have to enter thru Trails End and the special door as there are steps at all the others. that got me the first time we went. I did transfer to a chair at the table and someone moved my scooter out of the way during the show and brought it back to me at the end of show. hope this helps you and yes it is doable

We were just at Trails End (next door to Hoop de Doo) 2 days ago with a wheelchair.
We took the boat from MK to the FW dock for Hoop de Doo/Trails End. There was someone with an ECV on the boat with us.
When we were going back, there was another ECV. The boat was higher compared to the dock, so the skipper had some of the other guests load onto the boat first to sink it into the water. When we were getting off, the dock was higher than the boat. The skipper asked everyone to stay on the boat, but go to the side of the boat away from the dock.
The shift of their body weight lowered the side of the boat away from the dock, which raised the side of the boat closest to the dock. So, it was an easy drive off the boat for the person in the ECV and us.

Just an FYI if someone wants to take a bus from MK, they could take it to WL and then take a bus from WL to FW that drops off at the Settlement where you find HDDR. I would plan extra wait time, but it is an option.
