Hi, in staying at all star movies in a few weeks, but may be doing a shift at give kids the world village. Does anyone know if there's any public transport to get there? If so where does it go from and does it go there, or just part way there and I'd have to walk the rest?
Also anyone have any idea roughly how much a taxi would be to get there?
Thanks in advance :)

There's a public Lynx bus (#56) that runs from TTC to about a mile from GKTW. Here's a Google map. There's a link to the Lynx site at the end of the directions. (Don't look at the walking directions at the TTC; they're way off.)

The bus stops at a Walmart Super Center; GKTW Village is a mile down Bass Road. Looking at the satellite map, there's a sidewalk most of the way down the east side of the road, starting about even with the rear of the Walmart. There are a couple of stretches where you'd have to walk on the shoulder or roadway, but I think it'll be OK during daylight.

You should also be able to get a taxi from the Walmart. A one mile trip should cost less than $5; watch out for price-gouging independent drivers.

I would expect another volunteer would be happy to drop you at Walmart after your shift.

A taxi all the way from All-Stars should be around $30 + tip. It could be $5-$10 more in heavy traffic.

I am one of many coordinators of volunteers for GKTW, and
might be able to shed some light.

. . . as mentioned above, the bus does get "near" GKTW
. . . you will walk about 1-mile from Walmart to the resort
. . . not back unless there is heat or rain

. . . MEARS taxi is about $38.00, excl tip

NOTE: You should contact GKTW a day-or-two in advance.
Ask for the volunteer center. They might have a commuter transit going in
that direction. They also might have volunteers coming from near Disney
who might give you a lift.

Thanks for the answers guys :) I've looked on street view and decided its probably just be easier to do a one day car hire. Just completed my online orientation so just waiting to hear back

Sure, as long as you don't mind driving on the wrong side of the road.:)
