We've always driven up to Gatwick the night before and stayed in a hotel so we're already there in the morning, which is great and convenient, but that drive home after an overnight flight is never looked forward to.

For next year, we're thinking of not taking the car to Gatwick and using a cab / coach / train etc. so we don't have to drive on the return, just wondered if anyone had used any of these / any suggestions / recommendations / do's and don'ts etc.

There will be 4 of us, Me, H, DD (7 years) and 5 month old baby (sex unknown to date! lol)

Thanks

hi we are also travelling down to gatwick, we are coming from liverpool so it was better for us to go by coach, the train would have been quicker but there was lots of messing about changing to different trains, and dh was also worried about leaving our luggage where we couldnt see it, in the coach it is put in luggage holder so its safe we hope!! you can check the times and routes on railtrack .com and go to time tables, or gobycoach.com will tell you about times and prices for coaches, hope this helps in some way susie :jester:
