We're going to be at WDW May12-15 and were unable to get ADR for Liberty Tavern for dinner. Should we try and walk-up and ask anyways? It would be a party of 5. Please give your thoughts. Ely

It could be difficult since it is Mother's Day, but if you try for a walk-up, get there when they first open for the best chance.

I've never had trouble getting into LTT when I go early. If you are there when they open for dinner, you can usually get in. If you want a later dining time, you are probably out of luck.

I agree with getting there early and checking about openings. Another option is lunch. I'm not sure how important the character dining thing for dinner is to you, but at lunch the food is just as good and not quite as expensive. You probably also have a better chance of getting in for a very early or very late lunch.

We've actually had REALLY good luck walking up and getting seated at LTT. However, its never been on a holiday. Can't hurt to try though right??

I agree that it being Mother's Day might make this more difficult than on a "normal" day!

We have an ADR at LTT for 6 p.m. that night.

Hope you get in! Maybe we'll see you there!!

Good luck!!

We also have an adr for LTT on Mother's Day for dinner. My suggestion is to keep calling every day to see if anyone cancels. I cancelled a Crystal Palace adr just a couple of weeks ago, so you never know! :teeth:

Don't give up! Mother's Day makes it hard, I'm sure. I actually just cancelled an ADR for there that day at 6:00pm last week so that we could do Trail's End instead. So others may still cancel too!

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings here, but we just got back from the world on Monday. The parks were not any busier than usual, but the restaurants were mobbed. I'm sure this is a direct result of the dining plan.

We had ADRs at Liberty Tree for lunch last Thursday at an odd hour (2:45) when you would expect it to be not too busy, but they were turning people without ADRs away. (As a matter of fact, EVERY restaurant we went to last week was turning walk-ins away). We were on the dining plan, and had made all our reservations months before, but if we hadn't, we wouldn't have gotten in anywhere.

I reply not to be negative, but to encourage you to make ADRs somewhere else as a backup plan. I'm afraid that the days of walk-in dining at table service restaurants are over.

We will be eating at LTT on Mother's Day at 5:40pm. I was able to get this ADR on April 20th-not even realizing that the 14th was Mother's Day (it seems kind of late this year, rigt? Seems like it should be the 7th). Anyway! When I called the CM said it was almost full. However, it's definitely worth a try. In the past (however it was not on a holiday) we were able to go right to LTT when the park opened and make an ADR for the same night. Good luck! :)
