Getting to Chef Mickey and Welcome Show at MK

We are staying at the Poly and have 7:10am breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey. I really want to get to MK for the Welcome Show that morning (9am park open) for my son's first visit. We are planning to head back to the Poly around noon for a pool break. My question is, what is the best way to get to Chef Mickey? We do have a rental car so should we valet at the contemporary and then walk over to MK after breakfast? Or is the monorail running that early? Also, do you think it is best to walk over after breakfast or should we take the monorail to MK?

We've never stayed on property before so not sure what to expect. Thanks for your help!!

A. If the resort monorail is not rolling at that time, then, yes. Valet at CR.
B. Sometimes. Check (that morning) to see if the resort monorail is rolling at that time.
C. Yes. For sure.
D. NO!

If MK is opening at 9AM that day (with no AM EMH) you want to exit Chef Mickey's by 8:15, at least. (Earlier would not be a bad idea.)

Don't ake monorail after breakfast. That will take nearly 30 minutes. You can walk in 10-15.
