Getting to an early dining reservation

My family is staying at the Boardwalk in May and we have ADRs for Chef Mickey's at 7:30am...any idea how to get there from the resort at this early hour?

We stayed at FW in Nov and had early ADRs at the Poly one morning and was told there was a special "reservations" bus ...which never showed up. The resort bus driver took pity on us and drove us over. Super nice!

For an ADR that early in the morning, I would take a taxi from the Boardwalk to the Contemporary. When we were there in December there were always taxis in the front of the Boardwalk waiting. It would probably be about $15 (with tip).

There are buses running at 6:30am to get you to early ADRs. BUT...they don't run as frequently as the regular buses do. If you decide to go the bus route, I suggest you be out at the BW bus stop by 6:15..then you'll be assured of getting on the first bus. It will likely make other stops. When you board the bus, ask the driver if it's quicker to walk to the CR or to take the monorail. Tell him you have a 7:30 ADR and need the fastest route. He may very well offer to drop you off if there is no one else on the bus.
Otherwise, get off the bus, stay to the right and go around the driveway area at MK...follow underneath the monorail line, down the sidewalk, and across a street. You will get to the CR in under 10 mins...more like 8 mins.

You best be out at the bus stop around 6:15 AM or pay to get a cab.

We stayed at Pop Century last year and had 7:30 ADRs at Chef Mickeys and waited for the bus. We showed up at 6:30 and it didn't show up until 7:10 to bring us to Magic Kingdom where we had to take the monorail to Chef Mickeys. Needless to say we were late. They were understanding but it was way too stressful. Cab next time for us if we dont stay at a monorail resort.

What does the maitre d' suggest (call ahead) as how early to go out and wait for the bus? If you follow his answer and you are late anyway then you should expect his understanding to be, deep down inside, standard operating procedure as opposed to stressable over.

Now he may suggest not making such an early ADR in which case you should do something like lunch or dinner instead of breakfast.
