Getting to a 12:50pm reservation when hopping starts at 1pm

Hi there, I was able to snag an ADR we were hoping to get, but it starts 10 minutes before when we can enter the park. How busy are the turnstiles at 1pm for hopping? It's at Carthay so very quick to get to once we're inside. Do they hold reservations for a few minutes past check in time, or should I let this reservation go and hope to snag another? If it's possible, what time should we get in line at DCA? Thank you!

You might want to talk to a CM at the entrance to CA. Show them your reservation and if there is a line to get in they might let you bypass it. When we went back in December before the park was open, but food places were open, we had a similar situation and the CM let us bypass a fairly long line to get in when we showed them our reservation for Carthay. I know that was a completely different time, but I would check to see if they can help. They might even let you in before the 1:00 hopping time. Can't hurt to ask.

You should be able to check in on the app from the Esplanade (Carthay is close enough, so you’re lucky it’s that one). I’d check in right at 12:50, and even if they immediately texted that your table is ready (which is unlikely), you’d be able to get there before your 15 minutes is up.

Keep your reservation. You should be able to make it in time. You can always keep checking for a better time slot but I would hang onto what you have until you do.

The lines can get long right at 1pm. Yesterday we got in line to enter DCA at 12:50 and didn't get in until 1:07.
