Hello Everyone!
I am about to get engaged and have been dreaming about a Dinsey Wishes wedding for most of my adult life. My DBF and I love Disney and so do our families which makes the convincing a bit easier, but everyone still has a few reserves about committing to a Disney wedding so I have a few questions maybe you guys can help me with!
First of all, my DBF have been together for about 2 years now and would like to get married as soon as possible (we're trying to keep it old fashioned and not live together before the wedding, mostly for our parents). I've always wanted to get married in the fall, but my mother insists that the wait list for a Disney Wishes Wedding is 2 years, is this true? Are any months less expensive or less popular?
The second question is of course the distance. My DBF and I are both full blooded Italians, which of course means a HUGE wedding (we're thinking about 150 people minimum invite)
. The problem is we are from CT and NJ, so it would be a full out destination wedding. For those of you who've gone through the payment process with a father who is graciously paying for you but likes to hold onto his change, and a mother who has increadably expensive taste, do you know what a ball park total cost would be for something like this? We have our budget for the reception which is more than enough, but it's the extra costs of a destination wedding that we're really concerned with.
Ok my last question, I promise! Obviously with this many people I'm sure venues may be a bit hard to come by, and I've never been a really ballroom kind of gal. Are there any fabulous places that can hold this many people for an evening wedding? Our family is very big into partying and my father has requested an open bar and a reception that goes until at least 1am (even though my mother insists it's not necessary). I'm sure it would cost extra, but how much on average would it be to have an event in a theme park perhaps with such extended hours?
I know it's so many questions, but we're trying to judge if a DW is a good idea and will fit all of our needs. Any help would be very greatly appreciated!!
