It's official. I've been bitten by the Disney bug. We have been home from Disney 17 days, and I'm probably 2 days out from putting a deposit down on our next trip. I haven't even finished my PTR or TR from last time, but I needed to get this started!
We stayed at the CR this time for 6 (5 1/2 really ) days, and I loved the walk to MK. Other than that, meh. We moseyed over to FW one night for Trail's End and the Chip n Dale Campfire Singalong, and the rest is history. Well, not yet. We fell in love with the Fort and the decorated campsites.
See, we're Halloween people. My best friend, she's a Christmas person. Can't stop singing the darn carols starting in November, cries when she sees Santa, you know the type. My hubby and I are pure Halloween people. I love horror movies and Stephen King books. He loves decorating and scaring small children. We got married on Halloween. Our house was decorated with elaborate lights, fog machines and some animated props every year. He even took the day off to put out the expensive props.

Then, it all ended. One year we got 100+ kids. The next year maybe 30. The next year 15 or so. And one year, 3. He was devastated. He declared he's done with decorating. Bah humbug and all that. Our son was about 6 months old. The next year we went to a friend's house whose neighborhood is really great. Our son's first time trick or treating. I thought that would get him back in the mood. Nope. So I decided I'd have to get serious. He needed a Disney-vention. And this year we were at WDW from 10/29-11/3. We did the MNSSHP on our anniversary, Halloween, and it was great. The kicker was the night before at the Fort. He was like a child in a candy store, staring at the campsites and RVs all decorated. I saw the glimmer in his eye. We decided that these were our people, and we needed to join them sometime.
Fast forward about 4 days after we got home. "Honey, I want to go again." I was met with grumbles about it being expensive and so on. I got some quotes for a quick trip in March/April, and still more grumbles. Then I mentioned going again around Halloween AND staying in a FW cabin. That got a reaction. So, it's a go! And I'm so excited I don't know how I'll make it almost another year.
So, that's that. I'll be posting here more as things come up.
