Any hints for getting old tape off of walls?

We're wanting to get our DD's room painted and she had put posters, etc on the walls using regular tape. Then she put new ones on the wall without taking the old tape off. This went on for several years without us realizing it because it was covered up by posters, etc. Then she went to college, the posters came down, and we are left with old tape that pulls the paint off and other tape that is hard to get off. Nevermind that we had special poster tape for her to use. Can you tell that I'm not real happy with her right now? :rotfl:

Hmmm, worth a try. I'll turn my DD loose on that tomorrow and let you know. I think that she thinks that she can just ignore the tape and we will take care of it, but I don't remember sticking it on her walls... :teeth:

Thanks!

I used a Steam Shark to remove really, really, really old wallpaper from my Dad's house. 3 bedrooms and the kitchen. Worked great and left no residue. If you have one, give it a try.
