Well, first of all, the Super Bowl is being played on February 6th so not sure what dates you were referring to.

Second of all, the Super Bowl is being played in Texas and I'm having a hard time with all these recent posts about that weekend being such a high attendance weekend at Disney World. That would be a hell of a commute from Dallas (Arlington) to Disney World. The only reason I can even fathom for a planning site to rank Super Bowl weekend with such high attendance is that someone thinks the females of the family will pack up the kids and head to Disney World while the males watch the game. However, the game doesn't even start until 6:00 so I still don't get the high numbers.

This is why I don't rely on touring plans and crowd predictions.

With those dates, maybe it's Presidents Weekend? :confused3 I don't have school aged children so I'm not sure. If it is Presidents Weekend, those 5,6,7s are good numbers to have.

For Super Bowl weekend...

What is the response of the winning quarterback when he is asked what he's going to do now?

"I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD/LAND!"

They head to the parks and are in the parade.

Hence, increased attendance?

EDIT: That is, IF they do the parade the following Monday.. I'm not a football fan, so I don't know.

EDIT two-point-oh: And apparently, they've reported Super Bowl weekends in the past to be "busy" when they haven't been; so you might just want to ignore the high numbers completely as some fluke.

Yes, a member (not necessarily the quarterback) of the winning team (could be the MVP of the game) usually says "I'm going to Disney World!" after the game. However, the game is played Sunday evening and the game usually doesn't get over until about 10:00 PM so they obviously aren't going on Sunday. In fact, they might not even be there the very next day. For example, if the Falcons get to the Super Bowl this year (I'm dreaming here) and Matt Ryan says "I'm going to Disney World!" that just means he's going at some point. He very well opt out of going on Monday - think about it - you just won your first Super Bowl in Texas and you want to board a plane not to go home but to Disney World? Might not happen until later that week or even the next week.

Touring plans and crowd calendars often get the crowd levels wrong for Super Bowl weekend. Still doesn't make sense to me.

OP - Sorry if I misread your post, but are the dates of Feb 13-16 your cruise dates or your WDW dates?

Like a few of the other posters, I'm not sure which dates are being referenced. Are you talking about going to WDW on Feb 13 - 16? If so, the crowds are predicted to be 4, 5, 2, and 3 respectively. If you are talking about going to WDW on Super Bowl weekend (which is, as a PP stated, on Feb. 6), the crowds are predicted to be at 5 for that day. (On Feb. 5, they are predicted to be at a 6.)
