I'm about to enter my 6th & final week of training for my new job with the Ambulance Service. Whilst I will be glad to finish it scary that we are only a week away from going on the road in our job.

I have a fair bit still to do starting with my final written exam on Tuesday, 6 more assessments & 3 more scenarios.

Hopefully I will complete the course come Friday:thumbsup2

good luck Nikki

Don't worry yourself about it, DH was the same but once on the road you haven't got time to think about it too much, it's a 'fight or flight' situation and you'll just get stuck in.

Your training will kick in and you'll wonder why you worried so much

Good luck with the rest of your week, sounds like you're flying by :thumbsup2

Good luck Nikki, that's gone really quick.I remember when you first posted about it going to start.x.

I passed, I have my first shift 3rd maning on Monday morning. Its been a rollercoaster week with emotions for everyone, we all passed out written exam with noone doing resits. We had our celebratory do last night which resulted in me having only 2 hours sleep & I had to drive one of the tutors back as she was slightly gone:rotfl2:

I really enjoyed it even though I was dreading doing it after I was messed about. We had some great tutors, one of which has promised to work at least one shift with all of us & she has said she will keep in touch with us all.

I still have to do my C1 licence & driver training so until then I 3rd man which isn't too bad.

I survived my 1st shift although 12 hours are tiring. It started slow but then we ended up with 6 calls.

I have another shift tomorrow then a couple of days off.
