Getting my LGMH today!

OH - Don't cut out the cardboard - just run the LGMH under some water and the head part will come right off the cardboard. I would have gone crazy cutting out the shape for mine. Good Luck.

I meant cutting the laminate :) The LMGH just peeled right off of the cardboard no problem.

Well we went to Office Max last night to get some ink for the photo printer and I got my mickey heads laminated. It cost $1.10 for 4 and the guy did a great job. If you glue 2 together back to back I would give them a day or so to dry first- 2 of mine I had just glued and it smeared into the laminate. I just cut that off though and they look fine.

I need to re-make mine, because I forgot to write in my screen name! But it's double-sided (I used two of them) and laminated. I probably wont cut that shape around and just leave it a rectangle with rounded edges and then put a hole in between the ears to attatch it to my bags.
I was close to doing the same thing, when it looked like something was missing. :rotfl:

Got mine done today!!!! Also posted this in my pre-trip report!!!

That looks awesome!! Did you laminate it yourself? For the life of me I couldn't get it to cut the way I wanted it to and the shape came out all wrong. I love the beads too, I think I'll have to go and find me some!

As for our countdown calendar, it's officially done except for the counting down part. I posted this on our PTR, but here it is:

^ Can you tell I got lazy somewhere ...

I went back into HD today and grabbed a huge stack of LGMH's so I can play around with them until I've made one that I actually like. I'm so picky!

Cute! Nice job!

I got some of those credit-card sized laminating pouches, but they didn't stick together so well when I cut around my LGMMHs.

I put them together with stickers, my screen name, etc. and hung them off my messenger bagg. Then I didn't see any others at all while we were there! :sad1:

DH watched me for awhile while I was fussing around at the dining room table with my LGMMHs.... stickers, pony beads, ribbon, markers and laminating pouches strewn all around me... I was painstakingly using an exacto knife to cut mine out (wish I'd known about that water trick!). After silently watching for a couple minutes, he murmered, "It's an illness." :rotfl:

Here's mine:

We used to have a small laminator, but for the life of me I don't know where it went, so I used clear contact paper. It really seemed to work fine. And thanx for all the nice comments!!! :flower3:

Love the countdown calendar....those paint samples work for all sorts of things!!!

We need some stuff for the house and dh was going to go to a different store, but I told him we had to go to Home Depot tomorrow instead. LOL I didn't tell him why or I'd get "the look" while I tried to explain.

I guess my problem is the stuff that I'm using is too thick. I have some thinner contact paper leftover from a previous project, so I'll give that a try with them tomorrow morning when I get home from work (boo on whoever decided my job needed an overnight shift). Then I'll have to see if I can figure out how to tie the string like that and add beads because it's so cute!

I used the contact paper they have with the kitchen stuff. It's not totally clear, but it works. Good luck with yours. Make sure you post a pic of it when it's done!!!

Cool :thumbsup2 I'm taking them with me to work tonight to give me something to do while I'm on my breaks and lunch (since there's nothing good on TV at 2 in the morning). Let's see if I remember to do it correctly this time.
