Please help fellow Canadian disers? I am getting married in the most happiest place on Dec 2nd at 2:
30 pm.
I am very excited.:lovestruc  :cloud9:
It's just the two of us so it will be truly romantic.
The problem is I/we don't know what to do that would be special after the ceremony.
I/we are open to any ideas or suggestions.

How about a really nice, splurge, dinner? V&A's maybe and then a fireworks cruise.

Or what about some couples services at one of the spas?

Congratulations! I agree with the couples spa idea. Or maybe do that the day before and the V&A following the wedding, then sit on a hammock at the beach at the Poly to watch the fireworks.

First let me say a huge and happy congratulations to you both! What an awesome dream come true!

I love all the other suggestions, especially seeing Wishes on the cruise or in a hamock!! If you do the Cruise you could also order a cake for yourselves and enjoy it on the boat and the rest of the cruise.

One other neat idea would be to wait until after the wedding to get some ears for each other and have them engraved with Mr.. and Mrs.... Perhaps purchase a special keepsake to keep the memory of your special day alive always.

Have a wonderful time planning!

Suz

Thanks everyone for the great ideas. I like the suggestion about the ears. so maybe we could go to DTD and pick those up after the ceremony. Shopping for a special keepsake together would be fun as well. We are staying at POR and I am thinking of doing the carriage ride with our wedding clothes still on. :bride:

I mentioned the V&A to the groom but he wasn't too excited. A cruise would be a good idea too. I think the spa we might do a little later on in the trip. We are going to be there for three weeks. :goodvibes

This my second time to the world and I was there for a month. It's his first time and we are going down a couple of days before the wedding.

Any other suggestions ?

We were married in WDW last summer! We stayed at the FRench Quarter and did the carriage ride that evening. I would suggest some type of dinner. Depending on your style, Ohanas may be a good choice or a character meal. Somewhere in a resort so you can stay in your wedding clothes.

What have you done about a photographer? We were very unhappy with the samples of Disney work so we went with Randy Chapman....BEST money we spent!!! He was reasonable and by the time we would have ordered reprints from Disney Randy was a way better deal. He gave us an album with all of the pics along with a disc so we could print our own. We used the credit with Disney to do a honeymoon shoot in the Magic Kingdom.

Did you sign up for the honeymoon registry?

Enjoy every moment....it was incredible and magical. Everything I hoped it would be and way more!!!

Just out of curiosty what is the honeymoon registry? Did you wear a full wedding gown or something more simple? I think the carriage ride idea is a great one to. That would be very romantic.

Anyone have pictures they want to share??

Suz

I wore full wedding dress, the men wore tuxes. You can sign up for the registry online. www.disneyhoneymoonregistry.com works very similar to other registries.

We were married in the wedding pavilion, there are many venues throughout property available.

Hi!!
Congratulations!!
We will be going to Disney for our honeymoon in September.
I really struggled with what would be a "perfect" romantic thing for us to do to celebrate.
But what I eventually came up with was pretty simple.
What about riding your favorite ride together 5 times in a row? Or getting your favorite snack and watching the fireworks? Or walking on the beach at the Poly and holding hands?
I guess what I am trying to say is that for us.. all the fun romantic things we have done that we have the best memories from were spontaneous and unplanned and cost nothing.
I bet whatever you do.. it will be magic:hug:

We are getting married September 30th at SBP. 13 people are coming with us but the day after the wedding we are spending it alone. We plan to wake up late ;) the head to MK for our Honeymoon Photo shoot. We have an ADR for the California Grill in the evening that coincides with Wishes. I plan to have to the room decorated with rose petals and have flowers and champagne waiting for us.

Hello

We were married in WDW Nov 2006
We spent 10 days in WDW then for our honeymoon we went on the 7 day Western Carribean disney cruise.

On our last night in WDW we had dinner at Narcoosees, we were seated at the window with an awesome view of the castle and wishes. They gave us personalized menus and a special honeymoon dessert. This was one of the most romantic moments of that trip.

Another romantic idea have dinner at the castle we did that the day after our wedding.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding

Congratulations! We got married at the Yacht Club in February and it was really amazing, so I'm very confident that you'll be delighted with your wedding!

I definitely recommend the wedding boards here at the Dis, not to mention www.mouseweddings.com which will give you lots of information about a DFTW.

One thing that might be fun is to go to CRT some time during your stay. Since we told them ahead of time that it was our honeymoon, they put out carriage confetti and gave us a keepsake pair of CRT champagne flutes. Also, when you go to the park, pick up a pair of "Just Married" buttons! Oh, and you should get the bride/groom ears - people were so sweet to us while we were wearing them.

Also, we went to California Grill for our wedding dinner. We booked a private room since we had a larger group, but I think it would be a good place either way. It was amazing to stand on the balcony with my new DH and watch Wishes! I also do recommend the Honeymoon registry, especially since you'll have a hotel bill to pay!

I hope you have a wonderful wedding!

Hi! congratulations!
I am also getting married in WDW.
V&A is a really great place to have dinner after the ceremony. I believe it it Citricos that has a chef's table, you can be up to 12 people in there and watch the chefs make all the food. I'd say to go to Epcot and watch illuminations together. If you book at a restaurant make sure to tell them that you are getting married. You should get extra special stuff :goodvibes
