Getting Luggage Tags at Port Canaveral

Hello, My husband and I are sailing on the Disney Fantasy next month and when our cruise packet arrived it only contained luggage tags for me and none for my husband. I called Disney Cruise Line and was told that they cannot mail out my husband’s luggage tags even though it was their mistake that they were not included in our cruise packet. We are arriving a day before the cruise and have private transportation to the port on the day of embarkation. I have been told that the porters who are at the port to take luggage from arriving cruise guests will have blank luggage tags that we can obtain and fill out for my husband’s luggage; however, I was wondering if anyone has a picture of these luggage tags. The airline luggage tags are very sturdy and almost require scissors to remove them and I am worried the luggage tags at the port will be less than sturdy and may become detached from my husband’s luggage. A picture of the tags might ease my worry. Thank You.

They are the same type of tags that you received with your info on them, except these will be blank. The porters fill them out withbyour room number and attach them when they collect your luggage. They are sturdy, no need to worry about that. We did not get luggage tags on our last 2 cruises and had no issues whatsoever.

If you are staying at WDW before your cruise, I have heard that you can get luggage tags at your hotel front desk.

Did you try really hard to separate the tags? I only ask as because when we sailed last month and received our luggage tags I swore up and down they only sent me mine and not my husband's...well someone in our group said to try again to separate them and I poo pooed it. Well, I did try again and sure enough his were stuck behind mine! So give it another try!!! A few others had the same issue on our cruise. Each person should have received 2 luggage tags each.

I don't think you should feel too badly, MJ is clearly a seasoned cruiser and this just happened to her last month! I know I'll be keeping it in mind when we get our tags soon. Glad it worked out, though!

Don't feel silly at all!!! I would have bet money they only sent one set to me last month! I wouldn't have known to check again if someone in our FB group hadn't had the same thing happen. Maybe they are using a different grade paper for the tags that are thinner and stick together? I was shocked when I tried again and the other set came free. Nothing to feel silly about!!
