Getting in the Christmas Mood...post ideas

What a great thread! I'm going to DisneyWorld for Christmas this year, so it's easy for me to get into the mood :)

Last Christmas, I made M&M Christmas trees with my brother & sister, and my fiance'. The link below has a photo plus the ingredients & directions.

A few tips:
We used Mini M&M's for lightbulbs instead of regular sized M&M's.
Do try and get the size of cookies they recommend. Any smaller, and the presents won't fit on "the tree skirt."

Enjoy!

funny you should bring this up.

to make $$ for disney, I'm getting ready to make 'blank' sb pages to sell...starting with Halloween and see how that goes.

I'm also making baby food jar christmas trees...they look really cute. I'm doing my first this week (dh is gonna love having to dig out all the xmas stuff NOW--he thought it was bad last year when I put the tree up the week before Halloween--I swear!). I'm gonna sell those, too. Hopefully, I'll make a bit of $$.

Are the bead trees easy to make?
Yes...once you understand the pattern. All the pins are beaded the same way. The pattern comes into play when you are putting the tree together. My Mom is beading the pins during her chemo treatments and when she wants something to do, but doesn't have the energy for anything difficult. I then put them together. If you sit and work steady on the tree you can get it completed in less than 2 hours, this includes beading the 100 pins. Last year my 4yr old helped me bead the pins.

beansmom....of friend of mine said she made the Christmas tree out of baby jars, I haven't seen it yet but she said once she figured out the best way to get it to stay together it wasn't too bad. Let me know how it goes and if you have a link to a site for directions I would be interested.

I made two halloween pages and took them to work this morning...I had them sold before I could get to my desk!!

disneydarlin, may I ask how much you sell them for? Thant is a great idea, and people always like the pages I do........

Gretel,

When I sell a page (6 this week!), I figure up about how much the supplies cost then double that to figure in labor. Maybe somebody else has a better formula...it's all I could come up with.

sure thing..the link for the trees ishttp://www.pbholidayguide.com/festivities/crafts/decorations/baby_food.htm

now the ones I'm doing doing are a bit different than that and I'm looking for the link now.

ok here it is:

I like the second one better.

If you are interested, christmas picks and sprays for decorating these are 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby.

Let me know how yours turn out!

Answering your scrapbook ? I have a business selling albums. I charge $90 for supplies on a 12x12 album and $5 a page for labor. With 7x7 albums I charge $50 supply fee and $3 for labor. Does that help. That is the going rate around here. I only use CM supplies and I get a 10% from my CM consulant

Julianne,

Wow! That seems like a lot to me...I guess I'm short changing myself! LOL.

I'm gonna have to re-think this.

Thanks.

I make beanie bags for my cousins and give those as Christmas presents/stuffers. There really easy to make! i saw them originally on the disney.com (family fun?) website and adapted them. Now i also make mickey heads and other cute faces. i'll try to find you the link.
