Getting in non-home resort for Christmas week

I'm hoping some with more DVC experience may be able to help.... We are having a rough time figuring when we can go this year. One week that we may have to go with is the week between Christmas and New Year. Our home resort is BLT and it is already booked most of that week. What are the chances we might get BLT if we waitlist that week? What are the chances that we could get in a 2 bedroom at WL or OKW that week? TIA

Second highest DVC demand week of the year. At 7 months, SSR will be open and decent chance, but not certainty, that OKW and AKV standard and savanna view will be open, but not much chance for anything else absent wait listing. As to wait listing BLT, you should reserve any nights you can and wait list the rest. Don't know chances but there are none if you don't wait list. Come late May when you are 7 months out, you can cancel and choose something else if it is open.
