Getting in late...still check-in at OKW?

Hi there....okay, so I was able to get a GREAT airfare deal for this summer, so now we won't have to drive that long way after all, but our airfare was great because we arrive at MCO at 12:32 am on the 4th. What I didn't think about was YIKES, can you check in 24 hours at OKW and how do they work that? If we take Magical Express over, we wouldn't arrive until wee morning hours, so would they have a studio that they just hold over from the 3rd, or how does that work? (we do already have a ressie for the 3rd, but urgh, maybe we should just stay at the Hyatt at the airport and go over in the morning to not waste points? But then again, with the holiday, I would sort of like to be settled in to the studio....what to do, what to do) What would you do? Any ideas?

We checked in very late at OKW a couple of months ago, probably after 1 am or so. Check in was very easy, plus they took us to our building in a minivan!

Yes, the desk is staffed 24 hours per day. If you have a reservation for the night of the 3rd, you can still check in after midnite. I would suggest letting the resort know it will be a late check-in but there should be no problem. If you are taking DME, they will already know your approximate arrival time.

Some have asked in the past if they could check in after midnite for a reservation beginning on the 4th - and the answer there is no - unless you wish to "pay" for the night of the 3rd. Usually guests cannot check in until after about 7am - since that is when the system data has completed it's upload each morning.

As for whether it would be better to stay at the Hyatt and start your Disney stay the next day, that is certainly a personal decision. I'd always prefer to get into my villa as soon as possible!
