I know I've seen a ton of threads all over the DIS about getting Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift tickets, and I know those go super-fast. Any of you with recent experience have any tips on how to score high-demand concert tickets these days?
I'm almost ashamed to admit that the last time I wanted tickets to something sure to sell out was long enough ago that the solution was to line up at Ticketmaster hours before they opened.
Here we are, 10 years later, and I don't think there are even actual Ticketmaster windows left to go to! But Kid Rock is kicking off his tour a few days before my son's 13th birthday, and through the last 3 tours he's been asking to go but we've just been too busy, or money too tight, or something. So I want to get him tickets for his birthday, but Kid Rock in Detroit is always a quick sell-out.

. I've been misreading a lot of thread titles like that lately for some reason.
