Getting Hand Stamped??

We are not going for hopper or unlimited passes. We are going to get the 10 day MYW with Water Parks etc.

I was wondering whether we could re-enter the park if we left and got our hand stamped after a swim back at the resort? I mean, will the stamp have been washed off our hands after the swim?

But now I hear that WDW dont hand-stamp anymore. Its all fingerprints.

Can anyone elaborate for me?

Also, we were thinking of going to EPCOT on an EMH EVE day, to walk through International Gateway to visit Boardwalk in the afternoon, then back to EPCOT for the late evening. Will there be CM's at the exit at International Gateway to hand-stamp or take fingerprints?

I remembered reading about this on the All Ears site HTH. They do have CMs at the international gateway.

For years, the hand stamp helped WDW control the use of the pass. The hand stamp proved that the person with the hand stamp had actually been inside a park. You had to *exit* a park to get a hand stamp and you had to *enter* a park to *exit*. Therefore the person with the hand stamp proved that they have actually been inside a park and hopefully proves that they have paid admission.

WDW doesn't care what type of ticket you have as long as you have a park-hopping ticket or are reentering the same one day park you were in earlier. Now MYW photo-ID's and finger-scanning tickets don't need hand stamps because they have another way of proving that *you* used the ticket. They can safely assume that no other person could use your ticket.

Hand stamps will still be used at Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest and the Wide World of Sports.

For some reason, they still use hand stamps at the water parks. I don't know why, because the water park turnstiles have the same biometric capabilities as the theme parks.

As to it washing off; it won't come off with casual hand washing or swimming. You'd have to really scrub it to get it off. Not to worry.

I remember going on Space Mountain a few years ago and looking at my Arm- it was glowing under the UV light with all the stamps I had, the stamps used to be big things too not little! and even after showering would not come off!

Is there a reason for not going for the hopper option? It makes life so much easier and gives you more flexibility if you want to return in the eveing to a different park for fireworks or a meal.

The 14 day Ultimate tickets is almost the same price as the 10 day MYW plus water parks.

As others have said the "stamps" are done with UV blocks in the stampers so it usually takes 24hrs to wash off I don't recall them ever spoiling clothing and lots of guests will have them :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 For us it's just part and parcel of "doing Disney parks" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: We always get them on leaving, just in case of emergencies( like missing the bus and needing the loo) LOL....  with kids you never know when they will decide they need to go :rotfl: :rotfl:

We have looked into going for the Ultimate tickets, but we really dont think its worth it for us. We have definite days out of Disney, we've booked the Pirate & Princess Party at MK, so with the 10 day MYW that gives us 11 "Park" visits. We want 2 days at a waterpark, and we wont be visiting parks on our arrival or departure days so we only have 13 actual days to play with. (Dont ask why we're not doing a park on the last day - long story after our first visit in 2004 - basically too much hassle and stress!!!)

The cost from Under Cover Tourist for 10 day MYW plus Water Parks is about £152 each as opposed to £179 for the Ultimate. To us, its not worth the extra cash as we wont be using the days.

Thanks for all the advice guys!
