We're going to spend a day at Universal Studios and want to find the easiest and most affordable way to get there. We are not renting a car. Does the Lynx bus go there? I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but the search isn't working for me tonight.

There are many options.

The Lynx bus is one option, and the least expensive. But it is the most time consuming. It involves getting to the TTC early in the morning and transferring buses. However, going to SeaWorld is easy on Lynx as it is a direct bus from the TTC.

Another option is a taxi, probably about $30 each way for up to 6 passengers.

Another option is a towncar, about $65 - $70 RT + tip for 5-9 passengers.

Another option is Mears which is $15 PP RT. Dial "0" from your resort phone the day before you wish to go to Universal. When the Disney operator answers, ask to be transferred to Mears. When Mears picks up tell them what resort you are staying at and that you want to go to Universal the next day and give them an approximate time. They will give you a pickup time and location at your resort. Be there 15 minutes early the next morning. When the driver arrives pay $15 PP RT CASH ONLY. When you arrive at Universal, you can arrange a pickup time then or they will give you a card with their number on it and you can arrange a pickup time 2 hours before you wish to return. This card will also be your return transportation ticket. At the appointed time return to where you were dropped off and you will be returned to your resort. This is a shared service and you may stop at other resorts. If you know you want to use this service in advance, you can stop at the Mears desk at the airport upon arriving at MCO and purchase your transportation vouchers with a credit card. You will still have to phone the day before to schedule the trip.

You could also possibly rent a car for one day from National/Alamo on Disney property at the Dolphin or Car Care Center for as little as $25. Just look on the website for pricing and specials.

Thanks Carol for the great reply.
