I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was not able to find an answer in the stickies or by searching. :confused3 A friend and I will be visiting US/IOA in May, and we're debating between using a car service and taking a taxi from the airport. Can anyone tell me approximately how much I should expect the cab fare to be each way?

Thank you!

We used a car service. FL Tours and it was $109 round trip and it was wonderful. They are waiting for you in baggage claim to get you to your hotel and then they will be at the hotel at whatever time you ask them to be for your return trip. I would use them again.

It will be about $50 each way including tip.
Wow -- that's more than I thought it would be! Makes using a car service that much more appealing! Thanks for your reply.

My family used a car service when we visited WDW, and I agree -- it as fantastic. Since cab fare is pretty close in price, I think we'll go with the car service!

car service is a set rate.
if you book a round trip ride, it is cheaper than using it one way.

taxi charge per mile and time in the cab.
if you end up in traffic, the meter keeps clicking away...

Many car services also offer an optional free twenty or thirty minute supermarket stop. I vote car service. The cars or vans tend to be nicer, as well.

Mears Transportation is $19 each way, $38 if you want to go round trip.

It's a group minivan, and you have to wait about 30 minutes, but the price is good, and they'll get you to your hotel without a problem. Very punctual on the return trip, too. They require 2:30 before your flight, but both times I've taken them on the return trip, they've been exactly on time.

That is per person.
