Hi,
My friends and I are flying into mco next week. One of our group will be flying northwest and arrive in terminal B while the rest of us are flying on Sun Country and arriving in terminal A. We should arrive about the same time. Could someone tell us the best way for our friend to meet us after she picks up her bags.. we will be renting cars together and traveling as a group.
Thanks,
Sue

She should just go back up the stairs to the main terminal (level 3) and then walk across to the stairs to the baggage area (level 2) on the other side and then accompany you down to the ground transportation level (level one) to the car rental desks.

You should be able to get the idea from the Wayfinding Map at http://www.orlandoairports.net/ops/term.htm#wayfinding.

The PP is exactly correct. Look at MCO more as the A side and the B side. They are not separate buildings. The building is a mirror of itself with bag claims on both sides. Planes that land on the A side go to baggage claim A while B to B. You are all actually on the same level when you come out of the secure/gate area.

If they claim their bags first, they will have to go down one level to their bag claim, then simply take the elevator back up to level 3 and walk across to the other side and down to bag claim on that side.. It is very simple.

You could also arrange to meet at the food court in the middle of level 3 or maybe at the DME welcome area if you are taking DME. They have lots of couches there to sit and relax.

Have fun.

If you are travelling to WDW on the 417 from MCO, we think it is easier to rent a car on the B side. When you exit the B side, you are heading towards the South Exit and have no need to circle the airport, which you have to do when trying to get to the South Exit from the A side rental cars. At least with National, you can pick up your car on either side with no problem. -- Suzanne

I would go with meeting at the food court. It's really not too big. You can sit with a coffee. Cell phones work great at finding each other too.

Only one person is taking NWA. I'd have that person take carryon luggage only. Maybe the other passengers can take some "stuff". It costs $15 to check one bag with NWA and $25 to check a second bag with Sun Contry. If necessary I'd spend the extra $10 (have one of the Sun passengers check a second bag).

The NWA passenger will meet the rest of the group at Sun Country baggage claim.
