Getting from MK to AKL for dinner

This will be the first time I will be doing a day trip to Disney, can I use the buses to get from the MK to AKL for dinner at Boma?

Yes, you can. The ride itself is a good 20 minutes.

The buses are only supposed to be for Disney resort guests. I've had drivers say that they do on occasion check passengers but I have never seen it done.

That is not true, Disney absolutly wants you to be able to spend money at their resorts. Maybe at peek times they may limit transportation to those either staying at the resort or those with ADRs.

Once upon a time a decade or so ago they would sometimes ask to see resort ID or a park pass but that has not been policy for a long time.

Thanks for the update. Our adult kids stayed offsite Dec05 and were not allowed to ride; driver said resort guests only--perhaps it was too busy.
