DS16 and I were talking about our trip in March 2007 today at lunch (he rarely wants to talk about the trip and I want to talk about nothing else) and I said I wanted to stay for Wishes at least twice on our trip. We will be there a week. He said he was not that interested although he likes fireworks. He hates having to wait soooooo long afterwards to get a bus back to the resort. I said this year we will just dawdle arouns after the park closes, catch a snack if something is open (are any food places open) or do a little shopping. I also suggested we catch the monorail to somewhere and then try to get a bus to TTC or DTD and then get a bus back to POFQ. He still thinks it will take just as long. Any suggestions?

Taking a monorail to another resort and then waiting for a bus to TTC or DTD and THEN getting another bus to POFQ would take much longer. An easier option would be to view WIshes from the end of Mainstreet (near the Pal Mickey store). You'd at least be out of the park sooner than people who stood near the castle.

Well, in MARCH, Wishes may have a start-time between 6:30pm and 7:30pm on some nights.

You could relax at MK a bit, then take the monorail to Epcot (go to TTC and transfer, of course) and then take the bus "home" from THERE.

As long as it was before 9pm (or even as late as 9:15pm) you'd have less crowds.

Just watch near the end of main street and start creeping your way to the train station near the end of Wishes, you will be out of the park before everyone else and on the bus. You may have to sit there and wait for it to fill up, but that won't take long considering the mass exodus that time of night.

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of folks who start "running" out of the MK DURING Wishes (so THEY will have a jump on those who wait until the final minutes of the show, then "duck out" just before the end. ;)

"Creepers" just don't stand a chance.

Besides, I have more respect for the SHOW than to dishonor it (and its creators) by ducking out before the spectacular conclusion (one of the best sections of most shows).

Not that it would do you much good anyway. The bus/monorail/ferry loading is usually a ZOO during the last part of the show.
