Getting from FL to TL during parade, reasonable plan?

We were planning on watching the parade from Frontierland and after it passed, head over to Tomorrowland to ride buzz while parade is still going down mainstreet. I just read parts of Fantasyland are roped off so I'm not sure if it would be possible to follow the end of the parade and then cut through Fantasyland to get to Tomorrowland.

Does the train operate during parade? Another idea was to jump on the train after parade and ride to Toontown, then walk to Tomorrowland. Thanks for any advice.

The train doesn't run during the parades. I have never seen parts of Fantasyland roped off for parades. My suggestion would be to watch the parde between the Hall of Presidents and the Steam Boat. After the parade passes you can take the walkway past Haunted Mansion to Fantasyland.
