If you wanted to take a cab to your resort from Epcot after watching Illuminations, would you walk to the Beach Club and get a cab from there? Or would you walk to the cab station at the entrance and get one there?

Or would you do something else?

TIA.

I would hang back, shop a little and then take the bus or monorail back to the resort.

I would watch Illuminations from the France or United Kingdom area, then walk over the bridge to Boardwalk or Beach club. Everyone else in the park will be walking out the other exit so it'll be a nice easy walk out without feeling like you're swimming upstream!

This is what we do - a quick walk to Boardwalk and we're in a taxi and back in our room before most people have probably made it on the monorail.

I agree. If you watch from the back part of the world showcase, take your time and shop while people do a mad dash to the busses. Plus you can enjoy Epcot at night a little more.

The rush to the buses is mind blowing so go shopping or eat somewhere. Epcot does not close up till about an hour after the Illuminations is done so enjoy it!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

I agree with everyone else...take your time and do some shopping before you leave. If you absolutely positively have to leave right away, you may have better luck catching cabs at the Boardwalk since they have dance clubs and bars open late night, ready to take tipsy partyers home....

If you do take a cab from the front of Epcot, please remember, the only cab company authorized to pick up there is Mears Checker Cab. There may be other cabs there waiting, but unless they've received a call from a customer, they should not be picking up there.

We've had better luck with short cab waits at BC over BWI. There always seem to be a few more people wanting cabs at BWI. We've never waited at BC.

I consider this money well spent to avoid the walk back to the front of Epcot.

I've stayed at BW many times and agree with the others who suggest watching the fireworks by France / GB (the bridge by France is a good spot) and then walk to BC or BW to get cab...If you're tired and the boat is there you can take the boat over to the resorts, but chances are walking would be the fastest way.

We had an accidental late night at Epcot after Illuminations. We lost our diaper bag and had to wait for things to clear out, look for it, etc. We spent a nice 40 minutes in the stores and grabbed a bite to eat. When we went to the busses, things were much calmer. That's my plan for this year :)

We took the boat from the Internation Gateway (I believe, it was at the back by England/France) and you can take it all the way to Hollywood Studios I believe. No rush, no hassle, just a nice river ride.
