Hello-

what would be the easiest way to get from the courtyard theme park entrance to the Anaheim Amtrak station. We have a 6 and e year old and don’t plan on bringing car seats- this is the only leg of our trip getting to and from I’m stuck on.

thanks!

I'm not sure, but I know some taxi companies and ride shares offer car seats. Try calling and see if you can find one that does this. You'll have to use car seats for legal and safety reasons, and I think it would be easier to have that set up ahead of time if you're not bringing your own.

Edited to add : just saw your other post about getting from LAX to Anaheim. You might ask whichever company you use about this.

Researching this more- the price quotes are kind of all over the place on these shuttles, and I am surprised at how many don’t even have car seats as an option even if for an additional fee!

We always use Lyft/Uber to get from our hotel to the train station. You can take the bus (ART), it’s just a MUCH longer ride. Might be more of a hassle to take the bus with your luggage than it will be to take car seats and use cars. Will you have another transfer once you get to your destination on the train?

Yeah, you would think there would be more family options! I wish I could advise you but I don't have young kids. I bought a foldable booster when I took my grandson that actually fit in my purse. Used it with uber and it was super easy. I read about it here on DIS and I think it was about $40. I can't tell how old your other child is (too young for a booster?).

I have taken the ART from the ARTIC station. The route used to be number 15 from Disney transport center at the Harbour Boulevard entrance and went all the way along Katella Avenue. I'm not sure if its the same route now.

ART is the system to get people between hotels and Disneyland. They also will go from DIsneyland to ARTIC (Amtrak is there) and to Knotts. It is different from the metro bus lines.

I was just searching for something and came across this. I think most of the routes are no longer there, or are limited to specific times when there's a schedule. But most of of ART's rides now follow an "on demand" model where the idea is to link where people need to go, but only through specific points that seem to mostly be marked bus stops, in addition to some hotels. The way to request a ride is to use their app (more than one but we used "A Way Wego". We had five rides in one day. The first one we kept on waiting to go from ARTIC to Buena Park for lunch, but our ride kept on getting delayed. But it finally picked up a Disney cast member at one stop, then a family at a hotel before dropping them off at Disneyland. Then our bus continued to Buena Park.

It worked great for us. Much cheaper than Uber or Lyft and the drivers were great. One did correct me when I said "It's almost like a taxi" (no - we can't just drop you off anywhere) but was quite proud that they provided an on demand service without fleecing the customer. And for four of five rides, my kid and I were the only riders on the bus. One of the inconvenient things was that it was limited to those designated stops. It was great when it was Disneyland, ARTIC, or Anaheim Packing House. But we stayed at a motel near Knott's, and we could only board or get dropped off at the bus stop at Knott's, about a good 2.5 blocks away.

I was curious about it and found that there are still some scheduled routes like Harbor Way and the Hotel loop.
