Staying at the Poly this July and, for the first time in forever (to coin a phrase) we're not doing a wall-to-wall every day planned to the hilt trip. In fact, most of it is just going to be hanging around the resort and being lazy butts. (It's also cheaper this way as the family doesn't have to spend so much on park tickets.)

I've got an AP though and sometimes an early-riser and thinking it'd be kinda cool to run into MK one morning and grab some cinnamon rolls from Gaston's and bring them back to the resort for the rest of the crue. (Starbucks also being another possibility) Do they have "to go" boxes and such at Gaston's? I know some of the restaurants in Epcot do.

We've never tried to get food to go from Gastons, but usually once or twice a trip we will get food to go from Starbucks or Caseys. At Caseys they don't have bags but they have always improvised and put things in cups, like if we get corn dog nuggets they'll put them in a drink cup with a lid. Or Starbucks if we get sandwiches, they wrap them up and I always carry a plastic bag with me in my bag and I'll just put in there.

Gaston's most certainly has plastic to-go containers for the rolls. :goodvibes
You will need to go to the merchandise shop next door to get a large shopping bag.

It's been our tradition since the MainSt bakery days to get cinnamon rolls before leaving the park at night, and then heat them up the next am.
:cool1:

We also get cinnamon rolls or other pastries at night to eat the next morning, just grab a plastic bag to put all the to-go containers in for easier transportation!

You'll most likely have to provide your own containers but you can do this with any QS.

Some places will have take out containers, but others will not and will give you a second plate to use as a cover so we carry ziploc bags just in case. You can ask for a bag at a nearby store or also carry your own tote.

That's a nice thing to do - :)

We haven't done this at MK but we often get something from the bakery when leaving Epcot - either France or Norway (or both!). Like others we carry zip locks in our pack bag for this and many other purposes!

Thanks guys - I'll probably just bring some ziplock bags along... or maybe pick up some of those glad plastic containers... but how crushed can a cinnamon roll get on the monorail... :)

Gaston's will give plastic to go container ie like a muffin container at grocery store. I bought a bunch on our last trip for breakfast the next day. The only downfall was the July heat melted the frosting. Somewhat messy. I will do again for sure if I remember as they were good.

We always buy a loaf of bread in France. I loved when the bakery was smaller than its present size.

I was going to say the same thing! We're sooo not morning people but definitely require something to munch on trying to hit rope drop now thanks to dietary needs. Plus getting the pastries the night before is just a genius idea anyway.

You might want to tuck a plastic grocery bag into a pocket so you can put whatever containers into that for easier carrying.
