Congratulations!

You two are so romantic! When my DH proposed he had the ring his Mom wore when she got engaged - and instead of actually ASKING me, he got all choked up and just said - "Would ya?"

Well, I still said yes, and through many ups and downs over the last 18 years, we are still together. When we were planning the wedding we both knew we could NOT do a fancy schmancy ceremony. I was never one of those women who dreamed of her perfect wedding day. We ended up getting married by a JP in DH's parents yard with only our families present. We then all went out for Chinese food. The next weekend we had a cookout with our friends - very low key and exactly what we both wanted.
