Getting desperate....Santa needs to find

Oh, if anyone can help, Santa is getting pretty desperate to find a Barbie Townhouse. It is DD(7) 's only Christmas wish.

I have 5 kids and they each get one gift from Santa, and since they do not get items/toys often throughout the year Santa tries really hard to fufill their wishes.

DH has been unemployed for most of the year. I recently got a job and things are slowly looking up. My delay in shopping was that I had to wait until payday. I was suppose to get paid Friday.....posting automatically in checking account to show available Friday morning. That didn't happen, however it did hard post to my checking account over the weekend so now the money is available to do my Christmas shopping.

Has anyone seen the Barbie Townhouse? The only place I have seen it is on Craigslist, a larger city away and for $250

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was in yesterday's Toys R Us ad for 139.99. Did you call them to see if they have it in stock (if you have a TRU nearby)?

I have called all the stores around within 1 hr drive. The closest TRU is almost 30 mins away on highway. Living in the boonies. We did get a Target 2yrs ago, you'd think we are a thriving metropolis now. LOL!

My best friend is having the same problem here. We even called ahead and the toys r us said one was in stock we drove over an HOUr to get there and it was gone! we have been to at least 15 stores and can not find one!

I know this won't help your situation now, but I've noticed the past couple years that the Barbie Townhomes tend to sell out early in the shopping season and never really come back in stock. If anyone wants one in the future you're probably better off shopping before Thanksgiving, even if you have to pay full price. I hope you are able to find one this year though--Good Luck!

Although online it says the barbie townhouse is not sold in stores, I did see it at my local walmart. If you have one near you or even near a friend or relative, have them check anyway!

It may be worth checking with someone you know who lives and hour or two away. I couldn't find Uno Moo anywhere; my in-laws went up to their vacation home about 2.5 hours away, walked into a store, and Uno Moo was sitting on a shelf. Different areas seem to have different wants. Good luck. If you live in PA, let me know!

I think that unless you want to spend over $300 you might have to look at other options

Have you seen the Imaginarium Dollhouse-it is very cute! My best friend's daughter got it last year-very sassy!

Maybe you could get one of those and the $$ difference you could buy a new Barbie to go with it or the Barbie car?

I bought one yesterday at a TRU in southern NY. The long story behind that is...

I drove to a store 30 minutes away from my house that said they had two - only to find when I arrived that both had already been sold! (I left my house the moment I was off the phone). So I headed to another store about 1 hour away that had some in stock and got one! The ironic thing was they had SIX on their shelves, while other stores closer to me had none. I *almost* grabbed another in case someone was in this position, but I didn't as I just didn't want to deal with trying to ship the thing. It's HUGE and heavy!

My suggestion, try TRU first thing in the morning. The local store had zero at midnight, got some on the truck and had more on the shelf the next morning. If I had known that was a possibility, I would have called at 6am when they opened! Grrr...

This is an off brand one that is very similar, even with the elevator and since Barbie stuff is usually that cheap pink plastic I'm sure it can't be made any poorer. Would she accept this maybe? It is only $129. one is at Toys R Us the other Amazon
