Getting Desired Seating at restaurants

Another newbie question

There are a few places we have ADR's at and would like to sit in a certain spot in the restaurant. For example, I've read that at Sanaa, if you sit by the window, you can see the AK animals. The kids would LOVE this.

Can I request special seating now? Do I call when I get to the resort? Or do I have to wait until we actually get to the restaurant? If the latter is the case, I think I would just forgo if it is going to hold us up.

Anyone have experience with this?

You would have to wait until you check in at the restaurant for your reservation as they don't plan out the seating in advance, you get the next table with the correct number of chairs that comes available. If the restaurant is full it might be a long wait, but if the restaurant is not full and there are more available tables then you have a much better chance of getting what you want without a wait. So you would have a better chance if your reservation is for the first seating of the day, before people fill up the tables.

Also make sure if you have a special occasion that you are celebrating that you note that on every dining reservation, when you check in at each restaurant, when you check in at the hotel and that you wear the "celebrating" buttons. You can never tell what might happen, maybe nothing, but maybe something and that would be cool.
