Hello everybody! So I'm really starting to get nervous about my ADRs for my upcoming trip after having spent so much time looking over menus and DIS reviews (especially the negative reviews of Tony's Town Square ). Here are my current ADRs:

Crystal Palace (L)
Tony's Town Square (D)
Coral Reef (L)
Teppan Edo (D)
Sci-Fi Dine-In (L)
Hollywood Brown Derby (D)
Yak & Yeti (L)
California Grill (D)
Liberty Tree Tavern (L)
Narcoosee's (D)
Ohana's (B)
Le Chefs De France (L)

If you were me, would you cancel Tony's and book Whispering Canyon instead, or keep Tony's and cancel Narcoosee's and book Artist Point instead? Tony's and Narcoosee's are the ones that I am nervous about, and I kind of wanted to see the Wilderness Lodge and visit one of their restaurants. Or do you think I'm completely overlooking another great resort table service or signature restaurant? Have I made any other huge mistakes? Thanks for your input!

Well if there is comfort in not being alone  I was unsure about WCC - not due to reviews in any way - but because I don't eat ribs, beans and many of the other things in the skillet. However I am also keen to experience it and have decided to book and order a light meal there anyway. I got my ADR today for WCC for the time and day I wanted with no problems.

I don't know that I would disregard Tony's because of the reviews. Reviews are subjective and people are a lot quicker to speak out when they are less than happy. However if I had to pick between Tony's and WCC I would pick WCC for the experience (which I did), but Tony's menu has more on it that appeals to me so you have to decide what you are going to base your decision on.

What is concerning you about Narcoosees?

I think another DIS-er put it best on the restaurant boards when they said "people only tend to remember the negative."

I thought Tony's, while nothing spectacular, had good food. I thought the Seafood Diavolo was very good, and DH says you can't go wrong with Spaghetti and Meatballs. That said, it was our first trip, and we weren't expecting wonderful food. (We were pleasantly surprised later when we ate at Liberty and had an awesome meal!) Some people just have these grandiose expectations, and theme park restaurants, even the most magical theme park in the world, won't all live up.

I love Lady and the Tramp, so the surroundings at Tony's were perfect for us, and DS had just seen the movie, so he recognized them in the window, and the fountain!

In short, decide what is important to you, and go with it. Don't let anyone else, especially those with the worst of the worst experiences, decide for you! Besides, Disney is wonderful enough that even one bad restaurant experience will not ruin the vacation, unless you let it!

a number of years since my wife and I had dinner at Tony's. At that time it wasn't great and there other places to explore. Now we have younger kids and the areas of restaurant exploration are different. I wouldn't be a good source for a review. However, let me say that just a few months ago someone started a thread on the worst restaurants at WDW. Every restaurant made the list.

Let me point you to a long list of reviews. If you look at the most recent ones you will see people that loved it and gave it 9s or 10s and others were less than pleased. I have read what I would call less than stellar reviews on some places, restaurants and hotels, and booked them anyway. What some people don't like may not bother me.

Now my preference would be for Artisit Point. I enjoy the atmosphere better and I think the Wilderness Lodge is worth touring. There will be plenty to come along and disagree with me and, for them, Narcossees would be the right choice. Look at some pictures and the menu and decide what you want to do. Both can be worthwhile.

I would also pick Artist Point over Narcoosees and I would keep Tony's over WCC. I agree with the PP's though; you should pick what appeals to you. We all have different tastes/opinions.

Well, I'm not a huge fan of seafood actually  I've read some reviews though, and most of them were good, but some did complain about the service. On our last trip we ate at GF cafe and I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the resort, so I wanted to book something there just so we could go back to visit (we're staying at the CR). Now I do love American, so the menu at WCC wouldn't be a problem for me at all.

Ah, you're so right about it still being a theme park restaurant. And I LOVE Lady and the Tramp, too! It's my second favorite Disney movie after Peter Pan. I think that and the photos I've seen of the interior of Tony's are keeping me from changing my ADR :confused3

Wow, I was so surprised to see that Tony's is actually recommended by 82% of reviewers. Thanks for y'alls quick responses!
