Please don't hate me just because I'm stupid and can't get out of bed early. I read Diznut 84's "Specific Instructions for Getting a Cindy's PS (Updated Oct 1, 2004)" I even printed it out so I could follow the instructions precisely.
I rolled out of bed this morning at 0820h EDT and made my way quite slowly to the phone in the basement. I think I got through to 407-WDW-DINE at about 0830h on my first try and managed to have my pick of times for CRT on 6 JAN 05. I was surprised -- even "Thursday" the Dining CM was surprised there was anything available -- so we're eating with Cindy at 1010h on the 6th. It's also supposed to be EE @ MK that day, so hopefully we'll be able to ride Dumbo and a couple of other rides for DD before enjoying brekkie with the Princess. princess:
I'm quite sure this all has something to do with it being the 1st week of January -- and have no illusions that I could have possibly pulled this off for the previous week.

Is Cindy's not so popular these days?

I managed to get a PS for 8:15 on Christmas Day, despite not getting through to a CM for a good ten minutes past lines opening. I know of two others who have secured PSs after being on hold for 45 mins!

Maybe the Holy Grail of PSs is now available to us lesser mortals!

Congrats to all those who have been successfull lately!

Allie

Congrats, I think you're right though. Early January is a very slow time (hmm good to know)...so that may be why you had your choice of times you lucky ducky:tongue:

Cindy's is still popular, I haven't had any luck the past few trips I've tried for:(

ENJOY YOURS!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I got Cindy's for Jan 3rd and it was soooo easy. I even got the time I really, really wanted too (8:05). I hope this means light crowds!!!! I cant wait!!

I'm just glad we'll be able to do Cindy's on this trip with DD. She'll be turning 5 just before our trip (interesting note: WDW-DINE CM on Thursday morning told me, "Since you're celebrating her birthday on this trip..." -- nothing about celebrating her birthday on any particular day. We'll let the CMs know she just turned 5.) and I can't expect she'll want to be a Disney Princess all her life. As well, other trips to DVC will take place during March Break and over New Years, when I know Cindy's will be one of those unattainable "Holy Grails", despite Allie's great success for Christmas Day (way to go!!).
Thanks for the best wishes -- I'm hoping it will be a special first trip to WDW for the family.

I thought the same thing about it not being so hard to get. I went AUG 21-30, and was on a cruise the entire window of 90 days before. When I got back, I called and had my choice of Mon Aug 23 or Wed Aug 25, both at 9:35, for 6 people. We all loved it, and expect to do it every time. I hope I'm not in for a rude awakening the next time I try!

(I had also had a tentative trip planned in July, and got through on the first day, first try, for July 9, which I later cancelled.)

Definitly tell them you are celebrating your daughter b-day. We did when we took my niece last dec. They decorated the table some. After breakfast they brought out a cupcake with a candle and the waiter, Belle, and Mary Poppins sang happy b-day to her. She was so excited and they gave her a certificate. Her face was so memorable.
