Does it hurt going on? Should I be able to do something later on tomorrow night? What colors should I get?

I have a MILLION more questions.

Can anyone here help me?

Hi :)

As a braces survivor ;), I would say that it isn't too bad getting them on. The only part that hurts is when they put a crown around your back teeth. (Although, I don't know if you will be getting them put on there at first.)
As far as doing things later in the day, you'll be fine. I would just take it easy, and eat soft foods only. Even soup will hurt sometimes! My first colors were purple and pink! :)

cool :) i'm getting them off tomorrow :) but.. their alright not the beat thing in the world ;)

yep. for a while for me once the braces started moving things around it hurt a little bit, but you got used to it.. I also occasionally hurts when they tighten them, but only for the first night, or day.

I think my first colors were blue and something else.. I can't remeber anymore.. and I just got them off a year and a half ago!

And you'll definitely love the outcome of the tiny bit of pain you have to go through.. you get a nice pretty straight toothed smile! :)

Hmmm....

I have had braces for about a year. Not long, but it seemed like it.

Once you get your braces on it hurts a bit cause your teeth are moving around, and your teeth aren't used to the braces in your mouth.

It hurts just a bit putting the braces on, cause she/he might pull a bit on the teeth. For the colors...hmmm, your choice. Usually for the holidays, such as Halloween, I put orange and black as my colors.

Good luck!

The process of putting braces on your teeth does not hurt, when I had them the part that hurt was that it was really hard to eat to the first two days.

Good Luck!

Thanks all! It made me feel alot better.

Im going in a hour to get them on...wish me luck! LOL

Good Luck!!! :shamrock:

I had braces for about a year, if that, and now I love my teeth. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results. I'm glad I had braces because now everyone compliments me on my teeth :yay:

The colour I got was pink :upsidedow BRIGHT PINK!

Don't do orange and black! lol it sounds great for hallween but it makes you look like you have something stuck in your teeth! LOL. As for your first color - do your favorite color! Its all about what YOU want! :)

Heh, Pics -- any color looked like there was something stuck in Monkey's teeth! :rotfl:

Colors? There are colors? lol

There wasn't any colors except shiny metal when I had braces.

Sorry I saw this thread so late. I just got my braces off about two months ago, and I am very pleased with my new smile.
There are plenty of colors to choose from nowadays, cteddiesgirl. It isn't the color of the metal wire, but the color of the little like.. band type things in between your braces. Often I had purple (surprise). Also sometimes I had a blue color, and once I even have blue and red on my top teeth, and blue on my bottom teeth. My advice is go simple. Usually when you have more than one color it is, almost wacky. Don't choose a really really light color, because they usually make your teeth look funny, and the lighter colors tend to fade after a while.
I'd have to say, when you first get brace on, they do hurt. Expect them to hurt for about three days. At first you won't want to eat anything, and you will have trouble eating a lot of foods. Stick to soft food, like noodles, soup, and stuff like that. Stay away from the hard foods the first few days.
I-buproffen, and off brands of pain medicne like that are your friends. Take them if the pain really bothers you. Use your wax if you have anything poking, and never be afraid to telll the braces people if something seems funny.
You will have pain again when you have your braces tightened, and have devices inside you mouth. It won't last as long as the first pain though. Eventually you will get used to it.
Don't worry! Good luck with your braces, and your new smile.
Hey, I should write a whole braces guide! Haha, that would be funny.

Ive had braces for 6 years and theyre still on. they only hurt really when you get them tightened and you try to eat something other than that you barely notice theyre there. well im hopeing good luck with you braces.:goodvibes
