What is the best way to get back to POFQ after dinner at the Poly? Should we walk to TTC and take a bus to POFQ? Thank you!

Just tried to get back to POR from TTC last week and learned there are no buses to POR or POFQ from TTC. But, you can take the monorail to either the Magic Kingdom or Epcot, and then get a bus to POFQ from there.

I would think the monorail to MK and then walk to the busses would be very doable. Of course if it is right near park closing, it would probably be more advisable to use Epcot as your connection point for POFQ (if it is closing at a different time from MK that night anyhow!). I would avoid DTD as the busses from thereother direction around PO, making POFQ the last stop rather than the first.

Or else take a cab, of course, if it all sounds like too much! :badpc:

We just grabbed a cab from the Polynesian....about $10 back to POR-FQ.

If it's a late dinner at park closing, it's much easier to take a cab. That's what we planned to do. We asked the bellmen to get one for us and since it wasn't busy, one of them just drove us back to POP. Of course, we gave them a generous tip!

That's funny, that's exactly what happened to us. We asked them to call us a cab after picking up the girls at the Neverland Club. They just said hold on a minute. Then they came back with a WDW van and off we went. I just hated to mention it since I didn't want anyone to think that was a common occurance. Obviously it's more common than I thought. We had a great discussion with guys on the way back to POR. They got a very nice tip. The odd thing is the other guy with us, who tends to be a bit 'tight', asked if my dh had tipped the two boys for the ride. Of course dh said he had, so the other dh handed him a couple of dollar bills and said 'hey, let's split it.' Now, my dh had handed the boys $20 to split. Same thing happened at RFC...we needed to eat quickly...when dh went up to the podium he asked if he could 'make a contribution' to move us up the line. so, this other dh asked if my dh had given the guy a $5 bill...thought my dh was going to die...it cost us $25 to get seated within 5 minutes...sneaking through the back entrance, through the shrubbery. I was so embarrassed!!!!

we used to always take cabs in for resort to resort transfers in the evening, but we will have DD 8 months with us and we won't have her carseat ay the Poly. we'll be in AK all day and will go directly to the Poly. thank you for all of your suggestions! i think the monorail to MK makes most sense for us now and i hadn't thought of that!

Oh those babies! Gotta love 'em, but they do make transportation by car more cumbersome! ;) I loved the ease of the Disney transport with my 2 year old son when we were there last month. I have heard that you can get a cab with a car seat in it, but I have no earthly idea if you'd be able to get a rear facing seat in a cab.

Enjoy your Poly dinner!
