Getting around WDW Resort

On average how long does it take to get from POR to MK? If i have a reservation at Cape May Cafe @7:50pm and I'm spending my day at AK, how easy is it to get there? This is the first time I am doing TS and I am just a little concerned about having to leave the park in time and the availability of transportation to get me to the reservation on time. I've read a lot of threads and I am just curious is it really that easy to "hop" on the monorail to do a ride than "hop" on the ferry to another park without feeling that your whole day was trying to get to and from places. Thanks for any input!!!!

It's easy but not time efficient. You should always allow at least 30 min to an hour if you are using WDW transportation. Sometimes you'll need to wait for the bus. They pick up about every 20 min but I've had slightly longer waits. You want to go directly to BC&YC resort regardless of where you are staying. And then it's about a 15/20 min bus ride from AK to the resort. So you are already at the 30/40 min mark worst case scenario. I'd plan on leaving the park no later than 7pm (or a little sooner) for that ADR.

If you are early, the resort is lovely to stroll through and just being out on the boardwalk in the evening is nice too. Cape May is in the back of the resort facing the boardwalk so strolling about there isn't a stretch if you are early.

Some people call uber and get there a bit faster but I've always had good bus karma for the most part. I also plan for it.

Agree with above. Which is why we plan our dining around the park we are In or resort nearby ( Poly when we re at mk, etc)
Table services total time typically 1 1/2-2 hours... lots of time spent Not on rides/attractions!
