Getting Around In Acapulco

We are planning to head over to a hotel for the day in Acapulco. Any advice for how a party of six can safely and cost-effectively get around?

Read the Acapulco thread by Roberto from Port authority. Or, post on it because Roberto is VERY good about checking it and replying. He has pictures of the "safe" taxis you can take that are cleared through them. We are planning on using them, and asking them if they can pick us us in the late afternoon for a return trip to the ship. Try and find the thread... I think it is about a week back in the posts. It is quite large, so it should be easy to search.
