getting around from CR.

We're staying at the CR because I wanted to see how convenient it was to stay at a monorail-stop resort. But now it seems like a problem getting to places NOT on the monorail. What is the best way to get to the HoopDeDoo, Boma (AKL), MGM? Plus which is the quickest way to WDW from CR..monorail, bus or walk? I've heard that the monorail takes about 45mins. So much for convenience! Appeciate any comments...Thanks. Leaving in 5 weeks!

Haven't stayed there in alot of years but it was our resort for alot of years till they built the others. When you board at the CR, monorail, it goes clockwise stopping at the TTC, then Poly, then GF, then MK and finally CR again. Leaving MK, first stop is CR. Some people prefer to walk to the MK, so why stay at a monorail resort? AS for all the other parks, monorail to TTC detrain there and reboard the other monorail to EPCOT. AK and Studios are a bus ride. HDDR, go out the resort back to the boat dock and catch a motor launch for FW, that's where the Hoop Dee Do is in Pioneer Hall. Just plan accordingly time wise, everything is relative, point A to point B, via monorail, bus or boat is just doesn't happen lickity split. Sit back and enjoy the landscape as you travel, plan extra time though.

HDDR - take the boat from CR to FW, walk to Pioneer Hall(home of theHDDR)
Boma - walk to MK and board the bus to AKL
MGM - I believe there is a bus from CR to MGM
Quickest way to MK(thats what you meant when you said WDW right?) walk from CR to MK, CR is the first stop after MK so it may be faster for getting home.

Quickest way to WDW ??? You're already in WDW if you are at the CR... Travel time = 0.

Using WDW transportation:

HooopDeDoo Review - Blue flag motor launch from the CR to the FWC. The dock is at the rear of the CR on Bay Lake.

BOMA - Walk/Resort monorail to the MK and bus from the MK to the AKL. Bus lanes/info boards are by the MK ferry boat dock.

MGM - Resort monorail to the TTC and pick up the bus to MGM.

Don't believe everything you hear/read - it doesn't take 45 minutes to get to the MK from the CR via monorail - unless the resort monorail goes down...which happens on rare occasions.

Thanks for all the responses. And yes, endeavour, I know I'm in WDW but I meant MK. Luckily the others were clever enough to figure it out without the LOL smiley that I didn't appreciate. I've been going since there was only the MK so I mistakenly referred to it as WDW.
