Getting AP's

Getting APs this week and wondering if we still go to Main Street Bank. Last time I heard it was under construction. What's the deal as of now??

I am not sure what the building was called but it was at the end of Main Street next to the enterance to Adventure Land, it was very clearly marked so you shouldnt have a problem finding it. Good luck and congrats on the AP!!

Yup, it's not the bank, it's the very, very last building on the left at the end of Main Street before you enter Adventureland.

It isn't open until the park is open. If you've had annual passes before, go to guest services (outside the turnstiles to the left, yellow awning) and they will print up your passes right there (so will the ticket booths, but the lines are longer). We just did this last week and while the ticket booth lines were blocks long, we were second in line at guest services. This is my new shortcut

If you haven't had passes before, I'd recommend calling and talking to a cast member about where to go that has the shortest line. I never would have found out about guest services if I hadn't asked

My personal advice would be not to go right at rope drop. When I got mine, the line was about 30 people long at opening, so I took my regular ticket and got a FP for another ride, went on a few rides, and came back in about an hour and I was second in line, only took five minutes.

We have printed AP vouchers that I know I can take straight to the gate to get into DL for the day (per a CM on the phone). I understand they will exchange the voucher for some type of media that will work for Fastpasses until we get over to Plaza Pavillion to get our photos and cards processed later in the morning/day. Will that media allow us to parkhop or will I need to process the AP before leaving DL?

3Tinks, that's what I did - I paid for the AP online and then took the paper to the turnstile. They gave me a paper ticket that said "Annual Pass" on it and my name, and that worked to get FP's until I got my actual card. I didn't use it to park hop, but I'd assume it would work as a hopper, since it said "Annual Pass" on it. I think the only rule is that you have to get your real card before you leave that day. It would be easy to just ask the CM that takes your piece of paper.

Also, if you are getting a Premium AP, or another AP and adding on parking, you'll have to pay for parking that first day when you show up with your print-out, and then they'll reimburse you the $14 at the AP processing center.

Excellent, SonnyJane! Glad to hear confirmation of what I was told by a CM. On our first day, our schedule it tighter with pre-scheduled activities than I would normally plan, so it would be great if we could wait until after we do BBB in the morning, hop over to DCA for lunch at AG, and hop back for the birthday celebration with Pat. E. Cake. It's good to know it sounds like a possibility and I will definitely ask the CM when we enter the park. Even if there's a line to process AP's later in the afternoon, there will be lines for everything else, too, most likely, so it won't seem quite as intrusive to our valuable park time.

I'm so glad to have found this thread. I will be buying an AP when I am there next week. I had no idea that they gave you a temporary AP until you can go get your permanent one processed. That is so good to know!!!

Most likely. Your pictures will still be on file, and they can *print* the new AP there. When mine expired Sep '08, I got my new AP there in Nov. (and they were open before the gates were...)



OP, just ask any CM where you go to have your picture taken for the AP.

I have had an AP before, but not DH or DS, so we have to go to the pavilion anyways it seems. We will prob just get them sometime in the morning then, as we will all have one-day one-park tickets but will need to go to DCA after lunch.
