Getting an extension on expiring comp ticket? Possible?

Has anyone ever had any luck getting a short extension on one of those 1-day comp tickets that have a 2-year use window? For various reasons we never ended up using one but will be down there shortly after it expires. If you did - could you let me know how you did it or who you contacted to ask?
