Getting a savannah view at concierge AKL

Just read on another thread that some concierge rooms are pool view and no guarantees about getting a savannah view.

The main reason we are staying at AKL is that I promised my 2 ds's that we would stay there next trip so we could get a savannah view (tried to get a savannah view in March and couldn't get it). I mainly decided to bump up to a concierge for the Sunrise Safari.

Now, I am in panic mode!! My ds's will be heartbroken if we don't get the savannah view and I know dh will not be too thrilled to pay the extra $$ and not have savannah.

What do you think is the likelihood of not getting savannah if we check in early on Sunday?

We were concierge in 10/03. All I did was email concierge and let them know we wanted the "best" savannah view available b/c my Dd would be devastated if she could not see animals from our room. When I spoke to concierge they stated while they do not guarantee they are able to accommodate most requests. Just let them know how important it is and don't worry about it!

Out of all the AKL concierge rooms only 6 don't have a savannah view. They are 'smoking optional' (are there rooms where they FORCE one to smoke???) and on the 6th floor. If your room requests are for non-smoking and 5th floor, you're probably safe.
